During the scan card flow, when the variant picker does not show the correct option, users can only skip. Skipping acknowledges the card as correct, but after completing all variants, the pile view does not distinguish between verified and skipped cards. This was reported by @kris in the #Bugs needs attention channel. Need to fix the variant picker to handle missing options and/or display verification status in pile view.
